Giving back.

As mentioned in the “About Us” section of this web site, we firmly believe that we are blessed, so that we can bless others.  As such, our family and farm are committed to the following charities and organizations.

The Autism Society of North Carolina. This is a non-profit that provides support and resources for family’s with autistic children.

We were inspired to support this organization as a result of many of these families being weaved into and out of our lives.

Each year, a portion of admissions sales during opening weekend (think first fruits) are given to this organization, as well their families receive a discount for each admission

ZOE (pronounced zo’ey). ZOE is invited into communities where orphans are already living and brings them together in spportive working groups of 60-100 children. ZOE’s indigenous staff members help these children articulate their own dreams for their lives. ZOE then provides the small inputs and training they need to work together to transform their lives in just three years. These children who often feel beyond God’s love are able to both see and hear the gospel in ways that are compelling but not coercive.

Huck’s Feed the Hungry Initiative. Each year Huck collects cans of food from individual families as well as various groups in exchange for a discount to our fall festival.  At the end of the season we bring these cans to the CORA Food Pantry in Pittsboro, who in turns shares this food with hungry people around Chatham County.
